Under
the Design Sharing Program, power users of the software create and
post libraries of cabinets that other eCabinet Systems Members can
then purchase, capitalizing on their knowledge and experience and
eliminating the need for new users to create their own libraries.
This provides new users a jump start
and allows them to begin using the software almost immediately.
These libraries are purchased on this web site and mailed to you on a CD. The
purchase price is determined by the developer of the library and is shared equally
between eCabinet Systems and the posting Member. In addition, should
you purchase any items from eCabinet Systems using the shared designs, we will
share a portion of the margin on these sales with the Member that created the
design. We can electronically determine whose designs were used for these
With Design Sharing, new users can begin to immediately use many of the sophisticated
features of the software and have access to the knowledge and skills of experienced
users, softening the learning curve and generating benefits quicker and easier.
We also hope Members will share unique designs and specialty projects, broadening
everyone’s product offering and creating new opportunities.
Please note that each library is tagged
with a unique id that identifies both the developer and the purchaser.
This id is part of every cabinet/assembly that originated from this
library regardless of how much it is modified. This id is how we
protect the work of the developer from being improperly distributed.
In any communications, we can determine if someone is improperly
using a file from a design library in which case both the user and
the original purchaser are liable. You are free to use the designs
on any number of your own computers and are free to supply the designs
to Production Sharing members for the purpose of having them make
parts for you. Otherwise you must protect them and not supply the
files to anyone else including any other eCabinet Systems Members.
Each user of the files must purchase their own library.
